SYNTHETIC ICE

1400 SQUARE FEET ICE SURFACE

Used in CCM's Performance Lab, Glice synthetic ice is for skating anywhere, anytime. This advanced technology has self lubricating Glice formula that releases while skating, mimicking on-ice conditions. Total Speed Hockey's training facility has knowledgeable coaches who are committed to training players on proper hockey habits and techniques focused on core hockey skills: powerskating, shooting, puck handling, and passing. From Little Skaters to our Pro groups, our coaches are well equipped to create targeted skill development drills and techniques that are specific to the player's needs.
SKILLS
Our puck skills sessions are designed to build confident, dynamic players with strong control and creativity. On our synthetic ice surface, athletes work on foundational techniques like stick-handling, passing, and receiving, while also mastering advanced moves such as toe drags, dekes, and fakes. We place a strong emphasis on proper weight transfer, top hand control, and body positioning to ensure efficient, powerfu movement with the puck. Players will also develop other skills that translate directly to on ice performance.
SHOOTING
Our three synthetic ice shooting lanes are designed to replicate real on ice conditions. Athletes train on their own skates, using their own stick, for maximum transfer to game play. Players will learn and refine proper shooting form, focusing on weight transfer, balance, puck positioning, and follow through. Each session target critical mechanics like shot release, accuracy, and the ability to get quick shots off under pressure. Whether it's wrist shots, snap shots, or one timers, our lanes help players build confidence and power in every shot.
