1400 SQUARE FEET ICE SURFACE
Used in CCM's Performance Lab, Glice synthetic ice is for skating anywhere, anytime. This advanced technology has self lubricating Glice formula that releases while skating, mimicking on-ice conditions. Total Speed Hockey's training facility has knowledgeable coaches who are committed to training players on proper hockey habits and techniques focused on core hockey skills: powerskating, shooting, puck handling, and passing. From Little Skaters to our Pro groups, our coaches are well equipped to create targeted skill development drills and techniques that are specific to the player's needs.
Sport specific training techniques have been designed to support proper shooting mechanics, passing and receiving, stick handling, positioning, angling & puck control and awareness. Stick handling is the basis for all puck control and puck handling: passing, receiving a pass, and shooting. Practice fakes, dekes, puck protection, face-off's, top hand techniques, toe drags and many other skills on our synthetic ice.
There are three synthetic ice shooting lanes specifically designed to mirror on ice conditions by wearing your own skates and using your own stick. Learn and improve proper form, weight transfer, balance, puck positioning, proper follow through, proper release point, shot accuracy, and quick shots on our shooting lanes.
Develop and focus on your netminder skills such as:
Puck control - rebounds, freezing pucks, stick handling
Positioning - angles, depth, tracking the puck, being square
Stance - basic, butterfly, position, balance
Movement - pivot, T-push, C-cut, pivots into T-push, shuffles, slide
Work along side our trained coaches to truly get the Total Speed Advantage! 1 on 1 training helps athletes make corrections quickly and has a direct impact to their game right away.
